Writer and educator
Billie is a children’s writer based in Canberra. She spent her childhood immersed in the magical world of books as well as adventuring outdoors. She can still often be found rock-hopping along rivers, climbing mountains, or exploring the wide open spaces of land and sea.
Billie writes pictures books (fiction and non-fiction) and middle grade fiction. She has undertaken several courses with the Australian Writers Centre, including Writing Picture Books and Writing Children’s Novels. In 2024 she was shortlisted for the CYA Competition, picture books non-fiction category.
For over 10 years, Billie has worked as a lecturer in early childhood and environmental education, and she loves to share her passion for children’s literature with primary school and preschool teachers.
